Bomb blast in Central Assembly
Actually, Bhagat Singh and his companion Batukeshwar Dutt threw bombs in the Central Assembly on 8 April 1929 and started raising slogans of independence.
Both of them did not run away from there, but after throwing the bomb gave arrested. During this, he was sentenced to almost two years.
Almost two years in prison
During his two years in jail, Bhagat Singh used to write revolutionary articles and express his views.
Apart from the British, his writings also included the names of many capitalists, whom he considered as enemies of himself and the country.

Protest continued even in jail

He knew Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali, and English. He learned Bangla from Batukeshwar Dutt.
In his writings, he used to express concern and sorrow over the distances caused by script, caste, and religion in Indian society.
Date fixed for hanging with Rajguru and Sukhdev
After two years of imprisonment, he was to be hanged along with Rajguru and Sukhdev on 24 March 1931, but the news of his hanging in the country was agitated.
He was protesting against the hanging of the three sons. The British government was scared to see the anger and protest of the Indians.

The British government feared that on the day of the hanging of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, the anger of the Indians would break out.

Bhagat Singh was hanged 11 hours before the scheduled time
He was hanged 11 hours earlier on 23 March 1931 at 7.30 pm. During this, no magistrate was ready to supervise the hanging.
