The West Bengal State Govt. recently started school from 16 th November with the time schedule from 9:30 to 3:30 for class ix and xi and from 10:30 to 4:30 for class x and xii. As soon as the very first week passes , the Government is going to change the schedule notably. Darjeeling and Kalimpong are exception to this . Let’s go for details.

What is the new Schedule ?

After a long 20 months the educational institutions opened on November 16. As we are still undergoing the Covid situation, strict rules were imposed upon the students and all concerned . For maintaining social and physical distance class ix and xi were told to come at 9:30 am , for their class would start at 10 am . The students of class x and xii would report at 10:30 as their hours would start at 11 am. Now this schedule is going to be vanished. The changed time table may be as follows:
1) All classes ( ix – xii ) will be held from 10:50 to 4:30 .
2) Class x and xii will come to school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
3) Class ix and xi will come on Tuesday and Thursday.

What is about Saturday ?

No academic classes will be held on Saturday. On every Saturday feedback session, awarness generation , orientation of guardians may be held. Senior Education Officers may visit School on Saturdays. But it is not clear in the notification when the teachers and staffs will depart school on Saturdays.

Darjeeling and Kalimpong Remain Exception

In all Schools in the hill-subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong the academic classes may be held from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm . As usual there the classes will be held from Monday to Friday following the same norm and Saturdays will perform the same.
